Combo: Sage + Palo Santo - 4" each
1 bundle of sustainably sourced white sage from California + 1 sustainably sourced, high-resin Palo Santo stick from Ecuador
(both approximately 4 inches long)
White sage is used for cleansing, meditation, smudging rituals and more and burning Palo Santo gives off a unique fragrance that helps deepen spiritual experiences and meditation. It brings in good luck, wards off negativity, and helps you achieve a better spiritual connection.
Burning sage will create a lot of thick, white, fragrant smoke that you can direct with your hands or with other items (such as feathers, for example). Palo Santo sticks are not able to stay lit by themselves for very long - you can let the end of the stick burn itself out or you can *gently* blow on it to keep it lit longer. Watch out for flying embers! You can take either with you and waft the smoke or you can place them in a bowl or holder and let them burn where you would like the scent to linger.
Hold in one hand, bring your flame towards it in the other hand and hold the flame slightly to the side and below your stick. Let the end of the stick light up and start to burn, extinguish your flame.
> When burning to ward off negativity, always open an exterior window/door (at least a crack!) to allow the energy a way to leave the space.
As with all burning items, always use care when handling a lit bundle and always use a heatproof plate or bowl underneath to catch ashes and to prevent accidental burns.
